Thomas Keith, D.D.S.
Dr. Thomas Keith joins Iowa Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, P.C. from the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, where he completed his four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency.
Dr. Keith is originally from North Carolina, where he grew up in Mount Airy (home of Mayberry and the Andy Griffith show) at the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. He obtained his BS in Biology while attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then traveled to Richmond, VA, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2017.
After completing his undergraduate dental training, Dr. Keith returned to his home state of North Carolina for a general practice residency in general dentistry at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, where he received additional training in treating special needs and pediatric populations. He also worked closely with the plastic surgery and ENT teams to manage facial trauma, which inspired him to pursue further training in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He traveled to Iowa City and the University of Iowa, where he fell in love with the Midwest and met his fiancée (also a dentist!).
Dr. Keith is excited to explore the central Iowa region with his fiancée, Jensen, and their three cats, Rajah, Bengi, and Merlin. In his spare time, he enjoys movies and television, outdoor hikes, and learning new technology, such as 3D printing.
