Chris Treinen, D.D.S, M.D.

Dr. Chris Treinen grew up in Rock Valley, IA, and graduated from Rock Valley High School. He attended South Dakota State University and graduated with a B.S. in Biology with honors distinction in 2013. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2017, where he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon for his high academic achievements.

Dr. Treinen then began a dual-degree oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program in Omaha at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he graduated with his Doctor of Medicine in 2020 and earned his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Certificate in 2023. Additionally, he has traveled to Kenya and Jamaica for mission trips providing medical and dental care and looks forward to future opportunities to provide enhanced care.

Dr. Treinen is board eligible with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. 

Chris and his wife, Katie, live in Des Moines with their two young daughters, Olivia and Ella. He enjoys hunting, fishing, farming, traveling, hiking, and spending time with his family.
