Oral Surgeon Dr. Steven T. Reynolds

Dr. Steven Reynolds was born in Iowa City, and has lived in Iowa most of his life. After graduating from Iowa City High, he continued his studies at William Penn College, Oskaloosa, Iowa, The University of Iowa College of Dentistry, and The University of Michigan, Rackham.

His postgraduate training included a General Practice Residency at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at The University of Michigan, and a position of Senior Registrar, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Canniesburn Hospital, Glasgow, Scotland. During this time, Dr. Reynolds received the 1988 Merck, Sharp and Dome Resident Research Award for his thesis study of Suprahyoid Musculature.

Dr. Reynolds began practicing at IOMS in 1988. While maintaining his schedule at the office, Dr. Reynolds remains active in the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, the Des Moines District Dental Society, the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Iowa Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Chalmers Lyons Society of Oral Surgery.

Dr. Reynolds and his wife, Sue, have three sons, Michael, Joel, and Christopher. They live in West Des Moines. In his spare time, Dr. Reynolds enjoys family activities, golfing, basketball, hunting, reading, and coaching baseball.
